Our Story

Andrew Handler, Owner and Manager

Andrew Handler is the owner and manager of Industrial Coatings Northeast. He has been in the concrete industry for 20 years and has since shifted his focus to concrete polishing and epoxy floor coating. He started his company in 2018.

Background

While serving in the United States Air-Force as a Combat Engineer in the 820th Red Horse Unit, he was trained in many skilled trades and fell in love with pouring and finishing concrete. Andrew continued pouring and finishing once out of the Military. He worked in the private sector for large commercial companies, and then in the Union as a Cement Finisher.

Starting Up Industrial Coatings Northeast

Although a concrete expert, it was not until Andrew attended a World of Concrete Convention that he saw the benefits of concrete polishing and epoxy coatings which offer low-maintenance, cost-effective protection and decorative options. He also saw a need in the market with few companies offering these services. Andrew then left his Union job and started Industrial Coatings Northeast and Boston Concrete Artisans. He grew his crew and focused on installing high-quality polished concrete floors and epoxy floor coatings for commercial spaces and home garages.
