SP-81 combines our robust, clear polyasparƟc resin with our proprietary aliphaƟc hardener blend to create the highest quality, fast
speed, fast-drying polyasparƟc available anywhere. SP-81 is an ultra-high solids (< 50 g/L VOC), low viscosity polyasparƟc that
provides the skilled installer sufficient working Ɵme and delivers unmatched performance. The UV and abrasion resistance (.026g
loss per ASTM 4060) is world-class.
Uses and Benefits
SP-81 is primarily used as a clear topcoat due to its unsurpassed UV and abrasion resistance. It can be applied to floors and walls and
adheres well to many substrates including concrete, gypsum, cement board, metals and fiberglass.
LimitaƟons
SP-81 is designed to be applied between 6-12 mils (125-260 sq Ō gal) as floor topcoat and 5-6 mils (260-300 sq Ō gal) as wall top coat.
Ideal applicaƟon temperatures to be between 40-80°F. Cooler temperatures will increase cure Ɵmes. Warmer temperatures will
decrease working and cure Ɵmes. Verify that substrate temperature is above 5 degrees of dewpoint during applicaƟon and cure of
material to avoid a potenƟal amine blush.
